People who are allergic to mold may have difficulty in breathing and shortness of breath. People with weakened immune systems or with chronic lung disease, may develop mold infections in their lungs." Molds may also cause localized skin or mucosal infections but, in general, do not cause systemic problems in except for persons with impaired immunity, AIDS, uncontrolled diabetes or taking immune suppressive drugs.”
