Mold and Your Pets

Mold effects your pets health, AMR can help. Medical Mycologists (fungi specialists) agree that animals are no less susceptible to the threat of mold than humans. Indeed, small mammal pets are often the first to experience the symptoms and health ravages of living in a home with elevated levels of mold. It makes sense that dogs and cats, for example, can be more sensitive to exposure due to
their developed olfactory system.
Just as in humans; wheezing, sneezing, runny nose, watery or itchy eyes are common in pets that are exposed to high concentrations of indoor mold. When it is allowed to colonize in an indoor environment, the percentage of mold spores, fragments, and mycotoxins in the air can be much higher than outdoors.

So if your dog or cat has what you believe is a “cold,” please keep in mind that there is a chance that they are reacting to amplified exposure.
